Destination ImagiNation

Destination ImagiNation is a community-based, school-friendly program that builds participants' creativity, problem solving, and teamwork in enjoyable and meaningful ways. Teams of five to seven members work together to apply creativity, critical thinking and their particular talents to solve a Team Challenge.

Instrumental Lessons

After school lessons are offered district wide. This is supported by Pepperell Pro Musica at Nissitissit Middle School and at Varnum Brook Elementary school and by Townsend Pro Musica at Squannacook Elementary School and Hawthorne Brook Middle School. Call your school for more information.

Gifted and Talented Program

A new Gifted and Talented Program will begin as a pilot at Hawthorne Brook Middle School. The program uses the on-line Renzulli Learning System and the Enrichment Triad Model to match student learning styles and interest with challenging learning opportunities. Each participant will receive an individual Talent Development profile and have access to a personalized selection of activities matched for student interests, learning styles, and preferred modes of expression. Based on students responses to questions, specific activities are identified in virtual field trips, research, critical thinking, projects and activities.
