Television Production I and II
These courses focus on the basics of television production including:
- Camera operation
- Studio equipment
- Audio equipment
- Lighting
- Scriptwriting
- Storyboarding
- Editing
- Directing
- Production personnel
Students complete one research paper and at least two formal essays and produce short video projects such as interviews, news stories, public service announcements, and commercials. Students will help produce the North Middlesex News, the high schools daily newscast. In the second semester, students will produce more complex productions including original sitcoms, talk shows, sports or news programs, documentaries, music videos, and short dramas, all of which require a formal written product. Students will be responsible for all phases of production: pre-production, production, and post-production.
